Department:Technical Support Services

Summary: Provides technical over the phone support/troubleshooting of clinical instrumentation for veterinarians and their staff located nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer problems via telephone by troubleshooting and facilitating repair of clinical instrumentation
  • Answer customer questions concerning clinical instrumentation
  • Train and educate customers on the proper use and expectations of our clinical instrumentation
  • Provide historical information by thoroughly documenting calls
  • Provide “first in class” customer service
  • On-call/after hours support on a rotating basis will be required
  • Participate in clinical instrumentation training of new hires
  • Travel (which may include overnight) to veterinary clinics to provide training, perform installs, and troubleshoot instrumentation may be required
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, continuing education classes, and other training
  • Participation in wet labs at veterinary conferences may be required
  • Contribute to team effort by working together with other TSS members to gain/offer insight during the troubleshooting process and to brainstorm about how to resolve current problems and trends

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification in Veterinary Technology and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in an animal hospital setting
  • Additional experience and special interest in critical care, hematology, and diagnostic chemistry is desirable
  • Applicant must possess analytical, problem solving, and excellent communication skills, especially listening
  • Applicant must be prepared to move to a corporate environment where daily interaction is done over the phone while sitting in front of a computer
