
Karen E. Trainor DVM
Dr. Karen Trainor is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists/Emergency Services in Rochester, NY, prior to a pathology residency at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary where she also obtained a Master of Science in pathobiology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular pathology after which she joined the faculty at Texas A&M as a research assistant professor where she focused on translational pathology relating to medical devices. She developed a national dermatopathology service at a reference lab and currently provides diagnostic and dermatopathology consultant services for a variety of labs across the country, as well as initiating and promoting collaborative initiatives among dermatopathologists. Dr. Trainor is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in anatomic pathology.
