
Ruth Houseright, DVM
Dr. Ruth Houseright is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery in Elgin, Illinois before she became an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal practice and mobile veterinary clinic in Huntley, Illinois. She then joined the residency program in clinical pathology at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, completing the program in 2015. She became a clinical instructor in clinical pathology and then achieved a PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in 2020. While completing her PhD, she provided onsite diagnostic hematology and cytology support within a busy mixed animal practice and developed an independent consulting service to provide diagnostic cytology and hematology for veterinary clinicians on three continents. Dr. Houseright is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
