HESKA Solo Step CH
A one-step, lateral flow, immunoassay for the detection of antigens produced by adult, female Dirofilaria immitis in canine serum, plasma or anticoagulated whole blood. This test is highly specific and sensitive, very simple to use, and results are read within 5 minutes.
HESKA Solo Step FH
A one-step, lateral flow, immunoassay for the detection of antibodies to D. immitis in feline serum or plasma. This test is highly specific and sensitive, and is the first single step test kit designed specifically for the diagnosis of feline heartworm infection. The test is very simple to use, and results are read within 5 minutes.
Solo Step CH Canine Heartworm Antigen Test Kit
In vitro diagnostic test for the detection of antibodies to Dirofilaria immitis antigens in canine serum, plasma or anticoagulated whole blood.
Serologic diagnosis of canine heartworm infection is based on detection of circulating antigens or microfilariae, each of which are detectable beginning at about 6 months post-infection. However, even areas where the prevalence of heartworm infection is high, many heartworm-infected dogs do not have a detectable microfilaremia, therefore antigen testing is considered the primary diagnostic method.
HESKA Solo Step FH Feline Heartworm Antibody Test Kit
In vitro diagnostic test for the detection of antibodies to Dirofilaria immitis in feline serum or plasma.
Diagnosis of the infection is based on the detection of circulating IgG antibodies to a specific heartworm angiten. The antigen, which is expressed by a single D. immitis gene isolated and cloned by Heska’s scientists, is present in male and female heartworms. Antibodies to the antigen are first detected in some cats at 50-60 days post-infection (corresponding to the late fourth larval stage (L4) to early adult stage of D. immitis development). HESKA Solo Step FH was developed to detect these antibodies and will detect antibodies resulting from heartworm infections commonly seen in cats, including immature worms, adult male and female heartworms, and single-sex male or female heartworm infections.
