Francesco Cian DVM
Dr Cian graduated from University of Padua (Italy) with a DVM in 2006. He spent the next 4 years in small animal practice. In 2010, he started a residency program in Clinical Pathology at the University of Cambridge, which he finished in 2013 attaining both ECVCP and FRCPath diplomas He joined the Animal Health Trust (AHT) in 2013 as Head of Clinical Pathology, and from September 2015 works for BattLab (LABOKLIN). Since February 2019, he has also been independent contractor clinical pathologist for Lacuna Diagnostics, now Heska. Dr Cian is the current secretary of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) and member of the cytology exam committee for the same college. He is author of several publications on peer-reviewed journals and is editor of two cytology books. He is a passionate educator and actively collaborates with several educational companies (ESAVS, BSAVA, UNISVET, VetCPD) providing post graduate education in cytology to veterinarians. Dr. Cian is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists.
