About Our Presenter: Kristen Weishaar, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology)

Dr. Weishaar graduated from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ, and then an oncology specialty internship with Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC and Animal Clinical Investigation, LLC. Following those internships, she spent a year as the clinical trials intern at Colorado State University and stayed on at CSU to complete her medical oncology residency. Her current position at the Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center is the Director of the Oncology Clinical Trials Service, where she oversees the clinical operations of the trials service and assists investigators in the development of clinical research studies. With 15-25 clinical trials open for enrollment at a time the CSU FACC clinical trials service is very robust. In 2022, the service saw 741 appointments and enrolled 111 patients into clinical trials.
